Overview of Process

Electronic

Web-based and therefore can be done

from anywhere in the world

Offers online feedback/confirmation of

the application process.

Application is easy and takes only five

minutes.

STEP ONE (1) View your exam results on the CXC portal.

You will need your candidate number as

well as your date of birth.

Be sure to make a note of your candidate

number and retain for the application

process. Candidate numbers will not be

given over the phone or by email.

You may collect your exam slips from the

office when they are available.

STEP TWO (2)

Verify that you qualify for sixth form.

Look carefully at the subject choices offered in sixth form.

Look carefully at the subject combinations that are not possible.

Think about the career that you wish to pursue and the subjects required for that career.

Verify that you meet the minimum requirement for the subjects that you wish to pursue.

Discuss with your parents and teachers (if possible) your subject choices.

STEP TWO (2)

Minimum Requirement

◦ Must have received a diploma at Graduation.

◦ Must have a minimum of six CSEC subjects at

grades ones and twos in one sitting. The six

subjects must include English A and Maths,

however, Maths may be substituted with a

pass in Add Maths.

◦ See the Sixth Form Document on the

website for the specific subject requirements.

STEP THREE (3) Go to the sixth form application area, located

on the school’s website www.campioncollege.com/application-forms/6th-form application, to login.

Use your username <cxc candidate #> and password <lastname><date of birth> no space to login.

NB. The system works best with Internet Explorer browser.

Important Points

Select subjects in order of

importance: This is very important.

Students must select their subjects placing

the most important subject first and so on.

Note: Even though you are asked to choose

four subjects, the fourth one is only given if the

system cannot give the student one of the first

three. It is therefore important that students

do not have their most important subject listed

as subject 4.

Important Points Ideal subject choices: Ensure that this

section is completed. The selectors will use this area to get a sense of what the student really wants to do in the event that we are unable to offer a specific subject.

Note: This allows us to add the human element to the process. Sometimes students were not given a subject choice because something went wrong in the exam. It allows a teacher to see what was requested and then what the student was able to apply for. Adjustments have been made in the past based on this information.

Important Points

Career: Do not underestimate how

important this information is. It helps us to

give students advice about subject requests.

Note: Very often the subjects that some

students choose will not allow them to complete

their chosen career field. When we know what

the career choice is we are able to advise

accordingly.

Important Points

Email: Ensure that you enter the correct

email address into the system. The system

sends a confirmation email. If the incorrect

email address is given then the

confirmation email will not be received.

Note: Check your bulk or spam mail if the

email is not seen in your inbox. Verify that the

confirmation email lists correctly the subjects

you applied for as your ideal subjects.

Important Points

Consider me for 4 subjects: This check

box located below the picture is only

shown if the student has a minimum of 8

ones.

Note: A student who asks to do four subjects

is only given the fourth after all other students

have been assigned their third subject.

Therefore, ensure that your subjects are listed

in order of priority as you may not receive the

fourth subject even with exceptional results.

Important Points

Students with particularly

exceptional results may opt to do

more than four CAPE subjects. This

request should be made to the Dean

of Studies after acceptance into Sixth

Form.

STEP FIVE (5)

Click the submit button.

Check your email for confirmation

message. Confirmation message will show

subjects applied for and ideal subject

choices. Ensure that this is correct.
