St. Ann is Given a Gift to Share: A former St. Ann School student has generously donated two burial plots, monument, and perpetual care to Saint Ann's. These plots are located in the Catholic Section of Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. The plots will be available for sale through St. Ann Parish and the proceeds will benefit our parish’s ministries and programs. Special Collection for Catholic Communication Campaign – May 31st & June 1st, 2014 Next week our parish will take up the Collection for the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC). This Collection communicates the Gospel through Catholic social media activities and enriches our faith through Internet, television, radio, and print media. CCC equips us to share our experience of faith, worship, and witness with the world.

Vietnam Tears* I stood and I watched as a Mother cried, When she had heard that her Son had died. He didn’t die because he was Sick, Or he didn’t die because he Was in a wreck He died doing what he felt Was right.

I watched a father try to Hold back his tears, His son had lived only a Scant 19 years. His son had died nine Thousand miles away, And what was there left for a Father to say? He got down on his knees And said a prayer, His brave son knows his Father did care.

Part-time Administrative Assistant to DRE/DFF St. Ann Church (Arlington)

St. Ann Church is seeking a Catholic part-time Administrative Assistant to the Director of Religious Education (Director of Faith Formation). Duties would include: assist the DRE with her responsibilities, assist in the sacramental preparation programs, provide office and clerical support to the DRE, and serve as a liaison person to the Hispanic community’s sacramental prep program. The preferred person has to be bilingual (English & Spanish) and possess strong computer skills. A minimum of 2 years of higher education is required. 2014/2015 Registration OPEN! A letter and updated form went out this week for returning families. Please return your family’s completed registration form to the Faith Formation office by May 31!

Return your form ASAP! Late fee - $50 per child after May 31 $100 per child after July 31 New families, - please pick up a form outside the Faith Formation office or the Welcome Table in the Narthex.

Enrolling new families June 1 Baptismal Certificates (check with the office for returning students) and all fees must be included before your child is enrolled and assigned to a class. Sunday Classes – 9:30 to 10:45 (classes fill up FAST) Wednesday Classes – 4:30 to 5:45 Parent Catechists – Children receive top priority with NO FEES!
