HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. We start this week by saying “well done” to the girls at Leaden Hall School for their fantastic fundraising efforts. They held a Red Cross Awareness Day which raised more than £150 for the charity. In return for a donation the girls wore red accessories with their uniform, and the school grounds were full of girls wearing long red socks, beautiful necklaces and hair tied up in ribbons. They also had a cake sale and really enjoyed supporting the Red Cross. Thanks for sending in this great picture and I’m glad you had such a good day. This week we are finding out about a drumming workshop that was held at Pitton Preschool, and you could also win Bananas in Pyjamas colouring sets See you next time and have a good week, Stellar job in helping out charity GROOVY BEAT CHILDREN at Pitton Pre-School enjoyed a drumming workshop run by a professional musician. Oscar Whatmore went to the school with his drums and percussion instruments to talk to the youngsters about music. They then had the chance to try out the instruments and put on a concert at the end of the morning. Mr Whatmore said: “I was really impressed with the children, it was great fun making some noise.” Children from Pitton Pre-School try their hands at drumming during the workshop GANG WINNER THE winner of the Real Fairy Story Competition was Malachy Stephens who got the right answer, which was Mrs Buttersnap. Malachy won a family ticket to see the show at Salisbury Arts Centre. Well done Malachy, I hope you had a great time. GANG!
