They must upgrade to CAT 3 in order to participate in a second competition. o ‘Rising Stars’ Events may only be entered by skaters who have not competed in League Competition in the relevant discipline. o All Rising Stars grades will be open aged, except the Masters grade. o *If any of the Open* aged events are entered by; five (5) or more skaters aged under 10 years or five (5) or more skaters aged 10 years and older, then that event will be calculated and awarded into two age groups (Under 10 and 10 & over). o There are no Proficiency Test requirements for ‘Rising Stars’ events. o Rising Stars events will be closed scoring o Rising Stars - All Skaters will receive a Participation Certificate. o Rising Stars - Skaters who place 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd will receive Medals (if they are present at the presentation). ‘COMPETITIVE’ RULES o The Competitive events are open to any skater of Competitive (CAT 2) or Premium (CAT 1) membership. o In order to provide a Development pathway, all League grades will be open aged, except the Masters grade or where specified. o *If any of the Open* aged events are entered by; five (5) or more skaters aged under 10 years or five (5) or more skaters aged 10 years and older, or five (5) or more skaters aged 21 years and older, then that event will be calculated and awarded into three age groups (Under 10, 10 & over and 21 & over). o Note the “Where feasible” rules listed in the ARTISTIC REQUIREMENTS 2017 SKATENSW ARTISTIC BRANCH COMPETITIONS document. o ~ Proficiency Test requirements are a guide only.
