MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
People play two kinds of “games.” In finite zero-sum games, like football, the goal is to defeat your oppo-nent within the fixed timeframe of the game. In infinite non-zero games, such as a loving friendship, the goal is to keep the game going by continually enhancing the status of all players so they will want to continue the game. In finite games, there are clear winners and los-ers; in infinite games—the most important games of life, relationships—everybody wins. This book is for people who want to play more infinite games and it presents the Golden Rule as the ultimate strategy for playing well.
One thing almost everyone shares is a passion for the Golden Rule. Another thing almost everyone shares is a tendency to ignore it.• Invites readers into the fascinating
world of ethical decision making and compassionate cooperation.
• Written for people of all faiths or none who praise the Golden Rule and yet violate it over and over again.
• Looks critically at the Rule in the con-text of game theory to see where it works and where it doesn’t, when it is applicable and when it isn’t.

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
We are at a critical turning point in American religious and political life over LGBTQI inclusion. By sharing ideas and experiences with each other, spiritual com-munities can learn the best ways to move forward. How each spiritual community approaches the ques-tion will profoundly impact the American political and social climate of the future.
Contributors—LGBTQI and allied activists, scholars and clergy—write from an inside perspective about their communities, addressing the ways in which LGBTQI inclusion is being consciously constructed or denied, how their faith’s teachings have been tradi-tionally interpreted, and what textual or authoritative changes have taken place to integrate LGBTQI peo-ple into their communities.

• Helps awaken readers to the spiritual consciousness within each of us that provides the foundation for much-needed healing.
• Each chapter includes spiritual practices to help implement the concepts in the book.

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
The capacity to lead successfully in our hyper-connected world stems from the ability to deeply engage with those around us in ways that foster authenticity, compassion and solidarity. Leaders will learn how to listen through the noise that fills our lives in order to tap into what they most value; identify where they find passion, meaning, purpose and joy; and invite others to do the same. Each brief chapter introduces a guiding principle to ponder individually in meditation and collectively in conversation.
Diane M. Millis, PhD, acclaimed speaker, teacher and retreat leader, is author of Conversation—The Sacred Art: Practicing Presence in an Age of Distraction. She is founder of the Journey Conversations Project, an educational organization dedicated to cultivating the art of conversation in our technological age, and a consultant coaching leaders in corporate, education, health-care, ministry, non-profi t and philanthropic settings.

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Explores our connections—as human beings with each other, as one nation with all other nations, as the human species with the whole of our environment—through the lens of faith. Examines these connections while looking at the intersections of faith with the major issues of our day:
• How does faith speak to poverty, climate change, the economy, health care, and what is the faith response?
• How can believers from many faith traditions find common ground while honoring the Divine, serving one another and creating deeper community?
• How do we best use the resources of faith to connect us to the hearts of our neighbors and to the heart of God?

Insights from a pioneering leader in world religion, on the intersections of the sacred and the secular. New in paperback!“ Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, with her elegant, light touch, shows how an authentic Christianity demands a con-cern for, and an involvement with, thor-oughly mundane issues such as ending poverty and hunger, providing health care and dealing with climate change, gen-der equality and crime. In her version of reality, everything is sacred except sin.”
