DESCRIPTIONSlaugham Manor was completed in 1901 with the original building designed in the Jacobean revival style by Arts and Craft architect Walter Ernest Tower. Originally built as a private home the Manor was later converted in the 1960’s to Slaugham Manor Hotel providing a country house destination popular for weekend breaks.

Latterly the Manor was owned by Sussex Police who occupied the property for some 40 years and used it as accommodation, training and a conference centre. The Manor has now been acquired by Martin Homes with the first and second phases of the development providing 9 luxuriously converted apartments with following phases creating independent houses within the grounds.

Great attention has been paid to the original architectural features of the house and many of these have been retained and copied in the conversion. Examples being distinctive battlement rainwater hoppers to the striking Elizabethan style chimney stacks and imposing stone lions which adorn the front entrance. Combined with restored mullioned windows, a magnificent hallway and staircase and the application of marble and granite in abundance the apartments and high specification invigorate and enhance the buildings stately character.
