1 Kgs. 18:27 (CEV)- At noon, Elijah began making fun of them. “Pray louder!” he said. “Baal must be a god. Maybe he’s day-dreaming or using the toilet or traveling somewhere. Or maybe he’s asleep, and you have to wake him up.”

Matt. 23:24-You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Exod. 1:22- Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “Every son who is born you are to cast into the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.

Exod. 4:22- Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Israel is My son, My firstborn.

Gen. 1:6-7- 6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.

Gen. 5:5- So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

Gen. 5:27- So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.

2 Pet. 3:10- But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

2 Pet. 3:13-But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Rev. 8:12- The fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way.

Isa. 30:26-The light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day the LORD binds up the fracture of His people and heals the bruise He has inflicted.

Deut. 4:19-And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

Rev. 21:23-And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Rev. 22:5-And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.

Jer. 17:9- The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

βλασφημέω; βλασφημίαa, ας f: to speak against someone in such a way as to harm or injure his or her reputation (occurring in relation to persons as well as to divine beings)—‘to revile, to defame, to blaspheme, reviling.’ βλασφημέω: μηδένα βλασφημεῖν ‘no one should defame another’ Tt 3:2; καὶ μὴ καθὼς βλασφημούμεθα ‘and not as I have been reviled’ Ro 3:8; τὸ γὰρ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ δἰ ὑμᾶς βλασφημεῖται ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ‘for the name of God is reviled by the Gentiles because of you’ Ro 2:24; οἱ δὲ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτόν ‘those who went along reviled him’ Mt 27:39. βλασφημίαa: ψευδομαρτυρίαι, βλασφημίαι ‘false witness, reviling’ Mt 15:19. One way in which βλασφημέω and βλασφημίαa were used in speaking of ‘defaming God’ was by claiming some kind of equality with God. Any such statement was regarded by the Jews of biblical times as being harmful and injurious to the nature of God.

Rev. 9:20-21- 20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; 21 and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.

Exodus shows Pharaoh repeatedly hardening his own heart (7:13, 22; 8:15, 19, 32; 9:7). Not until the sixth plague did God harden Pharaoh’s heart (Exod 9:12).

Rev. 14:7- and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.”

Rev. 15:6-and the seven angels who had the seven plagues came out of the temple, clothed in linen, clean and bright, and girded around their chests with golden sashes.

Rom. 1:21-22- 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools.

Matt. 24:29-But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT

GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
