I bow down before Vishnu, the Lord of all worlds and the remover of all causes offear.

He is of blissful form. He lies on a serpent bed. He sports a lotus on His navel.The Lord of the celestials, He supports the whole cosmos.

His limbs are exquisite and His complexion is blue like that of the sky and therain-cloud.

The consort of Lakshmi, He has eyes rivaling the lotus.The yogis meditate on Him in their innermost heart.

Thou art the eternal I power behind creation. Preservtion and destrection.The three gunas depend on thee. Thou art the embodiment of the gunas.

Thou art the destroyer of all misery. Thou protectest eagerly the helpness thatseek refuge in thee. My salutations to thee the power devine.

Prostrations ti you godess mahalakshmi. Who is the greate deluder. Who is theseated on the sri chakra , who is worshipped by the celestials and who sports in

her four hands the conch, the discus, the mace and the lotus.

Tejasvina vadheeta mastu ma vidvi shavahai

May he protect us both ( teacher and taught) may he cause us both to enhoy thebliss of mukti ( libaration) may we both exert to discover the true meaning of the

sacredscriptures. May our studies be fruitful. May we never qurrel with eachother. Let there be threefold peace.
