Ljubljana is a city for all generations. One of Ljubljana’s sport centres encourages golf among young people. The golf course, with its two driving ranges and a short game range, is also great for players of all levels to continue playing golf after they’ve finished their lessons or practice. The course also boasts a partly covered driving range. The course is 300 metres long and as such suitable also for golfers whose drive exceeds 250 metres. The golf course is open seven days a week and is an excellent choice for spending active leisure time in Ljubljana or if you want to improve your game, whether you are a beginner or a dedicated recreational player.

OPEN FOR EVERYONE

Ljubljana’s first golf course is a public course for both golfers and golf aficionados. Experienced players will accompany those who haven’t got their own licence. The course is suitable for both beginners and experienced recreational players. The best players use the white tees for the course’s maximum length of approximately 2,500 metres. AN EXPANSIVE GOLF COURSE The golf course, with its 49 bunkers and three water hazards, was designed by British course architect Howard Swan, who has a remarkable feeling for placing dynamic golf courses amid unspoilt landscapes. He combined the challenges of the game with the lush forests of Dolenjska, which hide away the dynamic fairways and large though relatively easy greens. The longest hole is 568 metres, the shortest 138 metres. A GOLF COURSE WINDING BETWEEN A STREAM AND PONDS Players who love a challenge will love the water hazards that accompany most of the holes. The 14th hole is especially challenging, as this par 3 involves a shot to an island. 15 of the 18 holes are located next to the Studenčica stream and two ponds. The waters of the Ptuj golf course are home to many waterfowl, such as herons, grebes, swans and ducks. You can learn about these birds from signs with descriptions located by the tees. Because of its configuration, the course is also suitable for recreational players.

RELAX BY THE COURSE A practice range is located next to the club house, an attractive glass building shaped like a golf club which houses a bar and an equipment shop. A golf academy is also available. Water hazards will impress you on the course, while thermal waters in indoor and outdoor swimming pools will excite you in the Primus Hotel.
