Where do I look?The Sawle Literature & Research CentreThe LRC has a wide range of print and digital resources that have been selected for your use. There are a range of books, journals & periodicals, on-line links through the catalogue, and research professionals who are happy to help.

Encyclopaedia Britannica - this is an online encyclopaedia that is great source of information & can be accessed through the school portal page.

The West Australian On-line - there is a password you will need to access this & you can get this from the SLRC staff.

Weblinks - these appear on the catalogue as WL with a link to click on.

Sawle Literature & Research Centre website – research process tabs with resource links.

The Internet – there are millions of resources available on-line so remember to use the hints below.

Detail How much information do I need? Is the depth of coverage adequate?

Currency When was the information published or last updated?

Authority Who is the author of the information?What are his/her qualifications? Are they an expert in this area? How do you know?

Bias Why was the information written? Was it written to inform me, persuade me, entertain me, sell something to me?

Key Words & Search Terms:Make a note of key words (from the assignment information) and search terms you used during your research.
