No matter how dicult a situation

you may be acing today, God can turn

it around!

Te doctors may have told you theresno hope. Your bank account may be empty

and the creditors knocking on the door.

Tere may be trouble in your amily or on

your job. Your problems may be stacked

so high, you eel you can never overcome

them. But dont let the devil ool you. He

has never devised a problem that aith in

God cant fx.

Nothing intimidates God. Its just aseasy or Him to heal cancer as it is or Him

to heal a headache. Its as easy or Him to

buy you a new home as it is or Him to pay

your rent.

Even in times like these when the

whole world seems to be in trouble, God

can bring you through in triumph. He cando or you what He did or the Israelites.

Exodus 10:23 says when darkness covered

the land o Egypt where the Israelites

liveda darkness so thick the Egyptianscouldnt see each other or move or three

daysall the children o Israel had light

in their dwellings.

Tink about that! I youll dare tobelieve Gods Word, like the Israelites, you

too can have light in the middle o a dark

world. You can have protection in the midst

o a dangerous world. You can live healed in

a sick world. You can live prosperously in animpoverished world. You can live ree in the

middle o a captive world.

But you cant do it by dragging around

in an attitude o deeat. I you want

to walk in constant victory, you must

develop a spirit o aith and persevere in

that spirit even when the devil is puttingpressure on you.

People with the spirit o aith always

receive the blessings o God. Tey may go

through tests and trials but they come outsupernaturally every time.

I like those odds, dont you? I like to

beat the devil every time. And, glory to

God, you and I can do that i well walkcontinually in the spirit o aith.

Te Apostle Paul gives us powerul

insight into how to cultivate that spirit

in 2 Corinthians 4: We having the same

spirit o aith, according as it is written, Ibelieved, and thereore have I spoken; we

also believe, and thereore speak.... While

we look not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are not seen: or

the things which are seen are temporal;

but the things which are not seen are

eternal (verses 13, 18).

Open the Window

Te frst and most undamental actthese verses reveal about the spirit o aith

is that it believes.

What does it believe? Te Word o

God. Whats more, aith believes GodsWord just because God said itwhether

natural circumstances seem to agree or not.

Tat means i you want to maintain

a spirit o aith in the area o healing, or

example, you must start by getting yourBible and fnding out what God has said

about healing. Ten you must choose to

receive that Word as the truth. Dont shut

your heart to it by saying, Well, thats not

the way my church teaches it, or, Tats

not what my grandmother taught me.

Just say, Te Word says healing belongsto me and I believe it!

Ten keep putting the Word in your

heart day ater day until aith rises up

within you and your body begins to lineup with that Word.

Well, Gloria, I tried that one time

and it didnt work or me. I guess I just

dont have as much aith as you do.Certainly you do! Romans 12:3 says,

...God hath dealt to every man the

measure o aith. Since that scripture was

written to born-again people, you can be

sure that i youve made Jesus the Lord oyour lie, you have aith within you.

You may not be acting on it. You may

not be speaking it. But its in there and

the more you hear the Word o God, the

more it will develop and grow, because

aith cometh by hearing, and hearing by

the word o God (Romans 10:17).Why is it so important to develop your

aith? Because aith is what connects you

to the blessings o God. Its the orce that

gives those blessings substance in yourlie (see Hebrews 11:1). And besides all

that, aith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).

Its aith that reaches into the realm

o the spirit, grasps the promises o Godand brings orth a tangible, physical

ulfllment o those promises. It brings

spiritual blessings. It brings the car you

need, or healing or your body. Faith

brings action in this earth.Romans 5:2 says we have access by

aith into the grace o God. Tereore, i

you want grace or the new birth, you must

receive it by aith. I you want Gods grace

or healing, you must receive it by aith. I

you want Gods grace in your fnances or

any other area o your lie, you must get itby aith.

I like to think o it this way: When

you believe the Word o God, you open

the window o your lie to give God theopportunity to move there.

Oddly enough, that bothers some

people. Tey cant understand why God

needs an opportunity. Ater all, He is God.Cant He do anything He wants to?

Yes, He can. And He wants to respond

to our aith.

You see, He is not like the devil. He

doesnt orce Himsel on you. He waits oryou to give Him an opening by believing

His Word.

We Believe...Therefore We Speak

Tats what Abraham did. WhenGod told him he and Sarah were going

to have a baby, Abraham just took God at

His Word. In light o the circumstances,

that was quite a step o aith. Ater all,Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah

was 90 and barren.

Most people would have been

overwhelmed by those problems. But

not Abraham. He believed God, and it

was counted unto him or righteousness

(Romans 4:3). Even though in the natural

realm it was impossible or what God

said to come to pass, Abraham believedGod anyway.

Tats what the spirit o aith does. It

stands in the midst o the most impossible

circumstances and believes God anyway!

Ten it begins to speak.

It doesnt say just anything, either. It

speaks the Word o God. When cancerattacks, aith doesnt say, Im dying o

cancer. Faith says, Im healed by the

stripes o Jesus. Tereore Ill live and not

die, and declare the works o the Lord. You might think, Well, Im just not

comfortable with that confession business. I

just like to believe God quietly.

Tat may be what you like, but its notwhat the Bible teaches. Second Corinthi-

ans 4:13 says, We...believe, and thereore

speak. I you want to change your circum-

stances, you must have aith in two places

in your heart and in your mouth.Tats why God changed Abrams

name to Abraham.Abraham means ather

o many nations. So every time Abraham

introduced himsel ater his name was

changed, he was actually saying, Hello.

How are you? Im the ather o many

nations. o most people that probablysounded ridiculous because at the time,

Abraham was still a childless old man

married to a barren old woman. Im sure

they thought Abraham was a little crazy.But he wasnt. He was simply ollow-

ing the example o God Himsel who

quickeneth the dead, and calleth those

things which be not as though they were(Romans 4:17). By speaking in aith,

Abraham was doing exactly what God

did when He created the earth.

Read Genesis 1 and youll see what

I mean. It tells us that in the beginningthe earth was without orm, and void;

and darkness was upon the ace o the

deep (verse 2). Yet God didnt look at that

darkness and say, Oh my, the earth sure

is a dark place! Had He done that, the

earth would have remaineda dark place.

No, God changed the natural circum-stance by calling things that be not as

though they were. He looked at the dark-

ness and said, Light, be! and light was.

God spoke out by aith what He wantedto come to pass.

All the way through the frst chapter o

Genesis we see God creating by speaking

His Word. Over and over again it says,God said...God saw...and it was good.

Tats how we operate too, when were

living by the spirit o aith. We say Gods

Word...we see the result...and it is good!

One thing you must understand.Im not just talking about saying Gods

Word once or twice. Im talking about

consistently speaking words o aith. I

you get on your knees in prayer and say, I

believe I receive my fnancial needs met,

in Jesus Name, then go to dinner with

your riends and say, Im going bankrupt.I cant fnd a job. Im about to lose my

home. I dont know what Im going to do,

you wont get anywhere.

Its what you say continually thatcomes to pass in your lie. So i youre

believing God or fnances, make it a

habit to say things like this: According

to Deuteronomy 28, lack is a curse o thelaw. And Galatians 3:13 says Jesus has

redeemed me rom that curse. Tereore,

Im redeemed rom the curse o lack! My

needs are met according to Gods riches

in glory by Christ Jesus!Ten, every time your bills come to

mind, call them paid in the Name o Jesus.

Call yoursel prosperous. Call yoursel

debt ree. Be like Abraham and by the

spirit o aith call things that be not as

though they were.

Keep YourEyes on the Word

Right now you may be thinking, Ireally want to do that. I want to walk and

talk by faith. Te problem is, every time I

look at the mess Im in, I get discouraged.

Ten stop looking at the mess! Instead,

ocus your attention on the promises o

God. Keep His Word in ront o your eyes

and in your ears until you can seeit coming

to pass with the eyes o your spirit.

Tats what the spirit o aith does. Itlooks not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are not seen: or

the things which are seen are temporal;

but the things which are not seen are

eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

O course, Im not saying you should

ignore your problems or close your eyes tothem as i they arent real. Tey are real. But

according to the Word o God, they are

temporal, which means subject to change.

And, you can be assured that i you keeplooking at the Word, theywillchange!

Once again, we can look at Abrahams

lie and see proo o that. Romans 4:18-21

says that he:

Against hope believed in hope,

that he might become the ather

omany nations, according to thatwhich was spoken, So shall thyseed be. And being not weak in

aith, he considered not his own

body now dead, when he was about

an hundred years old, neither yet

the deadness o Sarahs womb:

He staggered not at the promise

o God through unbelie; but wasstrong in aith, giving glory to

God; and being ully persuaded

that, what he had promised, he

was able also to perorm.

Abraham did not consider his body.

He didnt ocus his attention on the act

that he was 100 years old. He wasntlooking at his wrinkled, old sel saying,

Come on, old man. You can do it! No,

he knew he couldnt bring orth a child.

Hed known that or some time.

He wasnt looking at his own ability.He was looking at God. He kept his

attention on the power and promise o

God until he was ully persuaded that

God could and wouldbring it to pass.

Thats What I Call Victory!

I you want to develop the spirit o

aith, thats what youll do too. You wont

consider the natural impossibilities o your

situationGod certainly doesnt. Kenand I have ound that out by experience!

More than 42 years ago, when Ken

was praying, down in a riverbed in

ulsa, Oklahoma, God began speakingto him about preaching to nations. God

said back then that Ken would have a

worldwide ministry.

It was clear God had not considered

our bank account. We hardly had enoughmoney to get across townmuch less

go to the nations! But God didnt expect

us to ulfll that call. He intended to do

it Himsel with our aith. He intended

to provide the power, the resources, the

abilityeverything! All He expected us

to do was believe.Tats all He expects you to do too.

Only believe.

Isnt that wonderully simple?

I youll just believe, i youll just spendyour time considering Gods Word instead

o ocusing on your own limitations, youll

end up just like Abraham.

Exactly how did Abraham end up?Very well, Id say.

He and Sarah not only had that

baby God promised, they also lived long

enough to raise him. Ten, ater Sarah

died at 127 years old, Abraham (who was137) remarried and had six more children.

He became exactly what he and God said

he wasthe ather o many nations.

Now thats what I call victory!

Tats what I call the spirit of faith!

Prayer for Salvation and

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, Whosoever shall call on the nameof the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21). I am calling on

You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and beLord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10: If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, andshalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised himfrom the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heartman believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth

confession is made unto salvation. I do that now. Iconfess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart thatGod raised Him from the dead.

I am now reborn! I am a Christiana childof Almighty God! I am saved! You also said in YourWord, If ye then, being evil, know how to give good

gifts unto your children: HOW MUCH MOREshall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit tothem that ask him? (Luke 11:13). Im also askingYou to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, riseup within me as I praise God. I fully expect to speakwith other tongues as You give me the utterance(Acts 2:4). In Jesus Name. Amen!

Begin to praise God or flling you with theHoly Spirit. Speak those words and syllablesyou receivenot in your own language, but the

language given to you by the Holy Spirit. You have to useyour own voice. God will not orce you to speak. Dont beconcerned with how it sounds. It is a heavenly language!

Continue with the blessing God has given you andpray in the spirit every day.

You are a born-again, Spirit-flled believer. Youllnever be the same!

Find a good church that boldly preaches Gods Word

and obeys it. Become part o a church amily who willlove and care or you as you love and care or them.We need to be connected to each other. It increases

our strength in God. Its Gods plan or us.Make it a habit to watch the Believers Voice of Victory

television broadcast and become a doer o the Word, who

is blessed in his doing (James 1:22-25).
