Introduction

While social, mobile, analytics and cloud technologies add

a new dimension to your business model, to fully maximize

their value consider the sum is greater than its parts.

The formula for the Future of Work is called SMAC - social,

mobile, analytics and cloud on one integrated stack, where

each function enables another to maximize their effect.

This is the new enterprise IT model delivering an organization

that is more connective, collaborative, real-time and

productive.

Introduction (conti..)

Every fifteen years or so, the IT industry has witnessed new innovations

in computing which have changed the way IT services are delivered

to the business and end users.

After the many era we’re now in what many call the fifth wave of

corporate IT. This fifth wave is characterized by a new master IT

architecture comprised of social, mobile, analytics and cloud

technologies collectively known as SMAC.

Page 4: SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud Computing)

Trends Social technologies allow for the rapid sharing and creation of knowledge over

social networks, which enhances collaboration and information distribution across a

business.

Mobile technologies are continuing to evolve, reshaping the technology landscape.

The growth in smart devices is bringing about an era of ubiquitous connectivity. Users

are now able to access information anywhere at anytime with ease.

Analytics enhance supply chains, facilitate closed-loop marketing, and optimize

existing customer relationship management processes.

Cloud technology is the linchpin of the SMAC stack – and it is quickly becoming the

new foundation of the IT ecosystem. Cloud computing lends businesses a newfound

agility, breaking down the barriers of geography and cutting the costs associated

with physical server maintenance. With limitless scalability, the cloud powers the

transformative combination of social, mobile, and analytic technologies.

Trends Technology in Perspective Today’s SMAC Stack—‘the

fifth wave’ of IT architecture—is happening faster

than anything that’s come before.

By 2020, as many as 100 billion computing devices

will be connected to the Web and corporations will

be managing 50 times the data they do currently.

So SMAC will have a multiplying effect on businesses

and increase productivity across the organization.

Trends (Mobile Impact in Future year)

In recent years, the dramatic spread of mobile devices

and applications .

The expansion of cellular networks have brought about

huge economic, political and cultural changes.

The effects can be seen in areas as diverse as

healthcare, education, the public sector and in

business.

New ways of communicating, and the fact that

information can increasingly be accessed from

anywhere.

Interest Areas(Cloud Computing)

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over the internet which

allows individuals & businesses to use software & hardware that are managed by

third parties at a remote location.

It provides a shared pool of resources including data storage space, networks,

computer processing power & specialized corporate/user applications

Cloud services are popular because they can reduce the cost and complexity of

owning and operating computers and networks as cloud users do not have to

invest in information technology infrastructure, purchase hardware or buy software

licenses

Other benefits to users include scalability, reliability, and efficiency

I would like to get deeper knowledge of Cloud Computing as possible to

utilize this knowledge to be a part development toward your organization.
