•Nokia small cell deployed on LTE
band 7 (blue cells) which is co-
channel of existing neighbouring
macros (macros in the vicinity on
both band 3 (red cell) and band 7 co-
located)
•Supports LTE 2600Mhz band 7

Details
• All existing LTE macro eNBs are non-Nokia,
• Most macros have LTE band 3 (red cell) and
band 7 (blue cell) colocated
• Nokia small cells (Pits 1 & 2, GP 1 & 2) use
same LTE band 7 (blue cells) as co-channel to
surrounding Macros
• Nokia small cells were installed between
2.5m and 10m high as compared to 29-42m
high macros nearby
• Nokia small cells transmits 5W output power
compared to 20W from Macros. One sector of
Macro near pits was powered down to 10W
during F1 event
• Transmission backhaul is limited to 100Mbps
as provisioned by the customer network

• RF planning for peak load handling, KPI agreement with customer
• Hotspot Identification and site selection, ensuring power & backhaul availability; site acquisition by customer
• Cost effective deployment : Cells mounted on the existing stairway structure of F1 GP office. No civil work required.
• Installation for each site completed in One day, integration & commissioning in one day
• Co channel deployment in a MV environment – Complete MV interface verification in lab to address all potential contingencies
• Real time monitoring, load balancing and optimization to ensure KPI adherence
