common interest such as a scrapbooking or exercise.

provide accountability and support through life’s journey. Some go through a book and others simply meet to hang out.

Serve Groups (SG) Pg 10SGs provide you the opportunity to voluteer in various

ministries throughout the church & community.

Do you want to start your own group? Pg 11

Why Small Groups? At Faith, we believe Small Groups are essential to our

Christian walk. In Acts 2, we see the first Christians “...attend-ing the temple together and breaking bread in their homes...”

(vs. 46). The Church goes beyond Sunday morning service; the Church is you. By connecting with a Small Group you’ll be empowered to grow in your relationship with Christ and build relationships that will make you stronger. Proverb 27:17 states, “as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” All of us have a natural desire for relationship, and Small Groups are

a great way for you to form new friendships and support as you walk through everyday life. So what are you waiting for?

Do you want to start your own Small Group? If you’d like to start a Small Group, it’s as easy as asking!

We want to expand our Small Groups and need your input. Is there a group you’ve been wanting to start (or even be a part of ), but haven’t known how to take the next step? Now is the time for you to take owner-ship of your passions and need for fellowship! If you would like to start a new group or share an idea for one, simply email them to Pastor Jon at [email protected].

Need Ideas? We’re looking for groups that meet your needs. So the question is, what are you looking for? Here are a few ideas to help you start brainstorming.

• Culinary Group: This group would meet to hang out, cook or share recipes for some of their favorite dishes. They could even try some-thing new at a restaurant that serves international cuisine.

• Outreach Group: We all know our purpose as Christians is to reach those outside the walls of the church. There are incredible opportu-nities to serve our community all throughout the St. Louis area. This would be a great way to connect with others and serve our commu-nity at the same time!

• Book Group: This group could go through a certain book each month, such as Mark Batterson’s “The Circle Maker.” It would help

provide accountability and an arena to discuss and support what God is doing in each of the group members.

Visit faith-community.org/connect to sign up for groups and connect with the leaders!
