Orienting Yourself to Key Changes

The ACE Provider Contract is comprised of:• The Contract aligned to Smart and Skilled• ACE Operating Guidelines aligned to Smart and Skilled• Activity Schedule includes your Initial Delivery Target ,

GST information & any special conditions• Letter of Offer• No deadline for return of signed contract. Payment will

not occur until all requirements detailed in the Activity Schedule are met.

• All Providers’ Activity Schedule Initial Target specifies Disadvantaged delivery only

• Providers classified as Regional & Remote can vary their Initial Target up to 40% for delivery to non-Disadvantaged Regional & Remote students

• Be aware that Proportionalities exist between Regional and Remote and Disadvantaged Student delivery

an increase in R&R non-Disadvantaged will mean an increase in Target Commencements#

• Use the Target Calculator to model adjusted Student commencements

Unique student identifier (USI)

• All funded delivery requires a USI• Under legislation no USI required for non

accredited delivery • For ACE CSO use the USI generated for a

student’s accredited delivery to report their non accredited CSO training delivery

ACE Consumer Protection Policy vs Smart & Skilled requirements

• You must develop and implement a consumer feedback and complaints process that is

AVAILABLE; ACCESSIBLE & EXPLICIT

• Identify a designated Consumer Protection Officer including contact details

• the Policy should be in line with ASQA requirements, Smart & Skilled Consumer Protection Strategy and ACE Provider Contract

Quality Training Provisions

• Independent Validation of Assessment requirements are the same as Smart and Skilled

• Professional Development and Continuous Improvement generally the same as Smart and Skilled except

ACE must include Governance Professional Development for Boards/Management Committees

Recordkeeping

• All CSO Funded Training must comply with Operating Guidelines Sec. 12.7 Required Length of time is 3 years

• NCVER – all copies of records used in NCVER audit must be kept for 6 months following an audit

• ASQA – Government Funded Training & Assessment Recordkeeping requirements take precedence

• In 2015 ACE Providers will continue to submit Total ACE Activity data through OLiV

• CSO funded training data must use codes:

• Data is to be submitted quarterly - but will

not be validated until the annual collection in January
