The Billion SG6200NXL can function as a wireless AP and wireless client at the same time, enabling data collection from any ZigBee end devices via a ZigBee wireless network for energy management. It can also serve as a wireless bridge to further connect with an existing wireless gateway.

The Billion SG6200NXL functions as a 3G wireless broadband router as well. Users can connect to Internet services by plugging a 3G modem into this router without the need for access to a fixed-line network.
