Smart Qiroah 1Niagara Falls in winter

In North America, it is really cold! It is around -19°C. Some people make use of this weather. They take pictures.

The Niagara Falls are frozen. They look great. People come and take pictures. It is cold and the people don’t like it, but the pictures are great.

Polar wind is in the USA and in Canada. People don’t like it. The temperatures will rise this week. The temperature will change from -19°C to 12°C. That is a big change!

Now…Try this!

The extreme weather in North America and Canada provided plenty of photographic opportunities.

Some visited Niagara Falls when it was -19°C to take pictures. Parts of Niagara Falls are frozen and have become a winter wonderland, so for people freezing there for some time, it must be worth it. Some water turns to ice before it reaches the bottom which creates an ice jam and subsequent flooding on two islands.

The US and Canada have been suffering from a polar vortex which brought freezing air and Arctic temperatures. The temperatures are expected to rise this week. The cold could switch to a relative form of 12°C.

Difficult words: ice jam (a lot of ice), subsequent (following), vortex (wind which spins quickly).

Difficult words: make use (do something interesting), frozen (ice), polar wind (cold air from the North Pole).
