Manufacturing and Construction All PBV®-UT Series severe service valves are manufactured, coated and welded 100% in house with state-of-the-art CNC machines to assure critical accuracy required for high performance zero-leakage
metal seated ball valve construction. PBV® mate laps all ball and seat surfaces for bubble tight sealing, plus all universal mounting brackets are machined to ISO standards. Quality Control
All FET companies manufacture quality products that are designed and tested to meet the stringent standards of most qualifying authorities around the world. Advanced engineering and our
quality management system assure that our valve products continue to exceed your expectations.
Compliance and Testing All PBV® ball valves are manufactured and tested to comply with many international qualifying authorities as well as our own strict quality control procedures. Many procedures exceed MSS-SP61,
API 598, API 607, API 608, API 6FA, API 6D and ANSI FCI 70.2 Class VI.
All testing procedures comply with ANSI B16.10, B16.34, B16.5 and testing can be summarized as follows:
• Hydrostatic: 1.5 x max. CWP, zero leakage/60 seconds• High Pressure Seat: 1.1 x max. CWP, zero leakage/60 seconds• Low Pressure Seat: 50 psi, zero leakage/60 seconds• Additional, Air: 50 psi, zero leakage/60 seconds• Valves meet NACE MR0175 or MR0103/ ISO15156 upon request

Primary PTFE Chevron stem seal and secondary firesafe flexible graphite stem steal are standard for all PBV® ball valves which provide low break torque, excellent emission control and good chemical and thermal resistance.
Firesafe ISO DesignPBV® Series 6400 two-piece metal seated severe service ball valves have all been proven to be Firesafe to API 607 or API 6FA. As illustrated, full metal-to-metal contact is attained at all sealing areas after the primary soft seals have been destroyed during a fire.
Anti-Static DeviceInternal parts that are insulated from the valve body by non conductive seat and seal materials may build up a static electric charge. To ensure electrical continuity between the stem and the ball and body, PBV® includes anti-static devices as an integral part of all floating ball valves.

step instructions are provided with all PBV® repair kits. These installation, maintenance and operating instructions describe the process from the most basic adjustments to the total replacement of seats and seals. Repair kits are available from stock and contain the parts shown below. If complete valve disassembly becomes necessary, the Series 6400 bolted body design is easily dismantled without the need for special tooling.

Engineering and ManufacturingPBV® engineers and manufactures high quality, reliable severe service ball valves for the oil & gas, petro-chemical and power generation industries for highly corrosive and abrasive applications where zero leakage bubble tight sealing is a requirement.
PBV®-UT Series severe service valves are engineered with the most advanced CAD/CAM/CAE software for valve performance analysis and optimization. State-of-the-art CNC machines are utilized in manufacturing to insure the critical accuracy required for high performance zero leakage metal seated ball valves. Valve components are manufactured 100% in-house in our Houston, Texas USA facility and available for quick assembly and immediate delivery from our expansive inventory. Because PBV® severe service ball valves are manufactured 100% in-house under one roof, customers are assured of better scheduling, higher quality control and quicker deliveries.
In-house HVOF Laser Fusion Coating PBV®-UT Series balls and seats are mate lapped in-house and HVOF laser technology is used to apply an abrasive and corrosive resistant coating. HVOF coating provides superior bond strength and surface hardness. The coating surface is further polished to produce a ’Best In Class‘ uniform bubble tight smooth surface which reduces friction and stem torque.
Balls are mate lapped 360˚ to the seat,maintaining 100% contact at all times.Not just the sweet spot like somecompetitors. This insures bubble tight ball-to-seat contact regardless of the ballposition. All mate lapped balls and seatsare vacuum tested for 100% accuracy.
Custom Modifications PBV® offers a variety of in-house custom services and valve modifications to suit your specific application requirements. Services include ISO bracket fabrication, custom coatings, integral stops, valve actuation and modifications, API 6D markings, just to name a few. Firesafe testing to 6FA and other destructive and nondestructive testing is also available upon request.
