• Bold logos – all caps• Effective without colour: Logos that can be used with black and white or eye catching colour (easily
transferable)• Main logo font is consistent• Sub-brand logo font is consistent• Different colours for different sub brands – but an overall consistent colour scheme• Relevant: Colour scheme or logo reflective of the museum and aligned to brand identity
(location/metropolitan nature/service or offerings)• 4 words maximum in the logo• A consistent logo and shape with the sub brand listed next to the main institution • Sometimes a distinctive shape (IWM, MoL)• Scalable: Logo can be resized (big or small) and still remain consistent
