It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in the 9th annualMobile Deployable Communications conference convening on 4th – 5thFebruary 2016 in Warsaw, Poland.

With the modernisation of the Polish Armed Forces, continuous upgrades todefence equipment and investment in and enhancement ofcommunication capabilities, we are delighted the Mobile DeployableCommunications will be supported by the Command and ControlDirectorate (J6) of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

Due to the growing emphasis on allied cooperation and collaboration aswell as regional interoperability, this conference encourages deepdiscussion to debate potential solutions to the consistent challenges that arefaced by multinational commands, national militaries and industry alike.

I believe Mobile Deployable Communications 2016 is the perfectenvironment for such a forum, hence providing my support behind theconference as chairman.

About the workshop leader:Dr Susanne Søndergaard is a Senior Analyst in the Defenceand Security team at RAND Europe in Cambridge, UK.Recently, she led work packages delivering a pan-European Cyber Defence training needs analysis andcurriculum design of cyber defence course for seniordecision makers commissioned by the European DefenceAgency. Prior to joining RAND, Susanne worked as aprincipal psychologist in the UK Ministry of Defence, and forRolls-Royce as a Knowledge Management specialist. Sheholds a BA and MA in Psychology from the University ofCopenhagen, Denmark; and a MSc in occupationalpsychology and a PhD in Knowledge Management fromthe University of Sheffield, UK.
