According to this important issue and by globalization of electricity Industry, SMP Industry Electricity

has begun to work in producing necessary parts for Industries such as cement plants, power plants

and other Industries since 1990.

Having been backed up with university professors, experts, personnel and experienced technicians

(who are regarded as a treasurer for this industry) by implementing up-tO-date management system,

now SMP Industry Electricity is one of the pioneers in Industry which annually produces more than

500 types of products.The most important achievement in electricity is comparison to the similar ones,

as approved by all customers.

The main purposes of electricity industry are innovation in products. Increase in productivity,

achieving the customer's satisfaction and exporting electricity to increase our market share in the world.

SMP pull Rope Switches of type Rop1oo or Rop200 provide a switching system to isolate powerconveyor system and other process equipments in an emergency situation either with latching orwithout latching, Rope switch of type ROP 100 or ROP 200 is used to send a command to equipment fordisconnecting the power circuit in emergency event. The mechanical devices of this equipment are madeof Aluminum Alloy or stainless steel with fumace special static industrial color (Burning static) thatsuccessfully operate in environment with high humidity and corrosion, These devices have beendesigned for a maximum safe operation under severe conditions.Construction from Aluminum Alloy and stainless steel can successfully operate at mines,and all places where use conveyor. All base parts such as bolts, shafts, screws and spring are ofAluminum alloy or stainless steel with special industrial color (burning static).SMP Pull Rope Switches and accessories meet the requirements of intemational safety standardsauthorities with respect to personal safety and equipment. It can be operated on conveyor system withdifferent size in width and speed, The devices can be equipped with either one or two lights, EverySwitch has a mechanical fuse and works over 60 kg pressure on non-reset position (over load mode).Operator can easily swap mechanical fuse with opening one screw and changing the relative part, thenSwitch will be ready to work again.The auto reset mode of Switches is optional.In auto reset mode by pulling the Rope, switch acts and by releasing the Rope, it automatically resets.Afterward system will be ready to start again.

Having been actuated by a plastic coated steel wire Rope places along side the conveyor. Ropes areinstalled in both sides of Switch in a same direction (fig,2), In emergency situations, operator should pull thenearest ropes, and then switches will lock automatically, Pulling on the rope at any point will trip and

automatically lock the switches, de-energlze the conveyor starter contactor. Also you can recommendthis with dome light. Each switch is bl.<Jlrectional In operation and has two ropes filled to it from opposite

directions terminating with a spring at the anchor points ROP acts bi-dlrectional at 15° operation angleand also can be changed In order, The springs will cause the operation of switch In a case of rope

breakage. The rope reacts by pulling and is in strait standard more than 20 meters length after trippingfrom both directions. Besides, the mechanical latch can be released only on switch by itself by

means of either a reset lever or a key (optional).

Switches are easily installed along the edge of conveyor structure. The actuating lever should bepositioned adjacent to the belt edge with a reset lever outside. Flexible vinyl coated steel wire isavailable for the Pull Rope. U formed clamp is used for each rope fastening point. Guiding and Ropesupport eyebolts are used at interval up to 3 or 4 m. Stainless steel springs at the end of the Ropeensure operation of switch in event of rope breakage (fail safe).The spring pretension is adjusted by means of turnbuckles which can simply be attached on to theactuating lever, since switches are bi-direclional in operation, variants of temperature which caninfluence on the rope length, become balanced by means of these two springs.Generally, SMP Pull Rope Switches are placed along the belt conveyor in every 25 t030m

Note:Tension springs can be simply fastened to conveyor structure by means of another hook. The spring

pretension is adjusted by means of turnbuckles.

1- Install pull rope on one side of the actuating lever according to drawing below.2- Adjust the rope tension in such a way that spring will properly operate the switch. Maximum

extension of the spring is 200 mm. Now detach the tumbuckle again.

3- Repeat procedure 1 and 2 on another side.

4- Attach both tumbuckles and operate the switch.5- Now, movable actuating lever should be balanced in mid position by means of these two

tumbuckles.6- To limit the actuating distance of the pull rope and to avoid an inadmissible extension of spring,

a rope loop of approximate 40 to 60 mm longer than the tensioned spring that should be

installed in parallel position.7- Reset the switch. Now, system is ready for operation.

An actuating roller of Aluminum alloy is carried in stainless steel ball bearings for improvedhandling of lateral forces and jerks. These switchescan be provided with a highly impact-resistant dome light which is visible from distance. Besides, theswitches can be easily modified to provide alarm for a particularly prepared part. All basic parts such asbolts, shafts, screws and springs are made of stainless metal (depends on order). The switches areprovided with 2 SPDT contacts. For unlatching, the actuating roller is reset by hand. Then the acceptedorder depends on your prodUct.

SMP Speed Monitor relay SaUD - 9DDA is used in connection with variant pulse sensor to monitor the

rotational speed of machine drives. 2-wire, 3-wire sensor (NPN and PNP) can be connected to the

SOUD-900A.

The pulse frequency is compared with the frequency set by control of the relay. When the input

frequency passes the set frequency, internal output relay is activated. Warning or control equipment can

be connected to this output relay and operate when the speed either increase or decrease from set

point. The operation of relay doesn't work during start-up time and adjusting mode.

SMP Speed Monitor of type SOUD-90DA with three types including over speed, under speed and mix

provides a system to control and observe the motion of machine such as belt conveyor, .... These

devices are shaft driven and can indicate the rotary motion of the equipment they are attached. Besides,

it shows shaft or motor speed (by rpm); in this way, this digital machine with high precision can either

connect or disconnect those two relays in order to control the speed of device just by 1rpm difference

and all set information on the system will quickly be recorded that remains until next settings.

The system has starting delay time which is adjustable between 0 to 99 seconds thai is required to reach

the nominal speed.

Voltage supply of this system is 220 VAC and its output voltage is 24VDC. All kinds of sensors such as

2-wires, 3-wires DC. NPN, PNP, NAMUR can be connected to this device. Therefore, il will be suitable to

enter any type of pulse but all pulses must be glitch free.

The devices output contains two relays, one of them is considered for under speed and another one for

over speed.

There are two LED: Green and Red.

-Green LED

• LED ·ur means operating speed above or under set poinl-{)utput relay energized.

• LED ·off' means operating speed is in permissible range and output relay is deactivated.

-Red LED

• LED Flashes means pulse input detects.

• LED 0 ff means no pulse input.

SMP Compact Speed Monitor is used in connection with pulse sensor to monilor the rotalional speed of

machine drives. The pulse frequency is compared with the frequency set by control of the transistor.

When the input frequency passes the set frequency, intemal output transistor is activated. Warning or

control equipment can be connected to this output and operate when the speed either increase or

decrease from set point. The operation of transistor doesn't work during start-up time and adjusting

mode.

There are two modes for technology of SMP Compact Speed Monitor:

Under speed, Over speed

• Under Speed ApplicationBy rotation of motive machine, pulse numbers will be specified, counted and displayed with plated

proximity switch. In following, if pulse numbers (rpm) are less than adjusted value by user, output (Ihird-

wire) will be activated based on type of interior switch model either of NPN or PNP.

• Over Speed ApplicationBy rotation of motive machine, pulse numbers will be specified, counted and displayed with plated

proximity switch. In following, if pulse numbers (rpm) are more Ihan adjusted value by user, output

(third·wire) will be activated base on type of interior switch model either of NPN or PNP.

SMP limit switches are designed for a maximum safe operation under severe conditions to become

installed at any bulk handling system.Switch endosure consists of corrosion resistant aluminum alloy or stainless steel. All external parts areeither made of stainless steel or Aluminum alloy have been specially plated.No maintenance will be required.The trip points can be changed within resp. 15° and 35° by means of adjustable cams.The roller lever is continuously adjustable on shaft. For safely applications, the lever has to be bolted

with shaft.

SMP lim~ switches of type either LS100 or LS 200 protect equipment of shuttling down the conveyorwhen the belt misapprehending material spillage and costly clean. switches must be furnished on theconveyor. Note that it will be located under the surface of conveyor bell.
