Test without removing the protective cover

SNAPConnect Specialty Receptacles

Isolated Ground LED Power Indication

Surge Suppression Tamper Resistant

Key Features – Tamper Resistant

• TR Shutters resist the insertion of foreign objects

• The words “Tamper Resistant” are stamped into the mounting strap, clearly visible with the wall plate removed

• SNAPConnect® wiring devices have no exposed live metal parts like the wired terminal screws on conventional devices, so using Tamper Resistant SNAPConnect® with finger safe sides are ideal for schools and daycare locations providing an additional measure of electrical safety

Applications: Dwellings, Child Care Facilities, Schools, Daycare Locations

Campus Residence Halls,Waiting Rooms

Tamper-Resistant Receptacles Compliant with CEC 26-700 and 26-712. SnapConnect® Tamper-Resistant Receptacles comply for use in residential dwellings and child care facilities.

Key Features – LED Power Indicating

• Highly visible Bright Green LEDs indicate when the receptacle has power

• Receptacles have two LEDs so available power can still be found quickly if one receptacle face is in use and the LED is blocked from view by a plug

• Bright LEDs are easily visible, even in a sun lit room

• A proposal has been approved to require indicator lights on Hospital emergency circuits for the 2014 NEC (US only)

• LEDs are available in Hospital Grade, Tamper Resistant and Isolated Ground

Applications: All Hospital Emergency Circuits in Child Care Areas,

Custom Panels, Low Light Areas

Illuminated Receptacles SnapConnect Power Indicating Receptacles comply with NEC 2014 (USA only) requirements for illuminated receptacles on hospital emergency circuits.

Key Features – Isolated Ground

SNAPConnect Isolated Ground Receptacles

- Available in Spec Grade and Hospital Grade - Standard and Decorator Faces - TR and LED Power Indicating options

- Uses the same SNAPConnect® connector as the Non-IG Receptacles and the GFCI

Isolated Ground or “IG” Receptacles have an

insulating barrier between the ground contacts

and the mounting strap. Sensitive electronic

equipment can be affected by interference or “noise”

present on the common ground system of a

building. By dedicating an insulated ground to

isolate a circuit from the “noise” the interference can

be minimized or eliminated.

Applications: Point of Sale Locations, Computer and Test Labs,

Audio/Video Equipment, Schools, Colleges and Universities
