CHURCH | For students. By students. 2013 and

ECC Hatfield’s journey

Little short of a year ago, you may have called us

crazy or over-ambitious or naïve, but the voice of God

was clear and so began Eastside Community Church

Hatfield – a campus in the heart of the students’

territory.

Last night, we had our last official worship service of

2013; we took some time to reflect over the year at

the incredible journey we have been on:

“If we can do one year, we can do another”

“Here we’re intentional about everything – in

worship, in work, in loving, in being here early”

“It’s been challenging and exciting, and

good to serve with such different people”

“It’s more intimate – the social time afterward

is important to me to feel part of something”

“I’m glad I found this church – I was looking;

everyone has a place here… I like too that

the sermons are relatable.”

Looking ahead, we are even more expectant than

before:

“People are going to be stretched”

“I would like to see more people – get bigger,

and have a bigger impact, especially at

university”

Thank you for praying with us and trusting God with us

as we’ve served this year. Let’s trust Him to do even

greater things next year, in our lives and in the

extension of His Kingdom for His glory.

To the hands and feet of ECC:

Looking back on all that has been

accomplished for the Kingdom of God

this year, we cannot but marvel at the

goodness and grace of Jesus! However,

as a leadership we are equally aware

that God has used the many members

of Eastside who have served faithfully

during the year, often going way

beyond the call of duty.

As a family, this past Sunday morning,

we celebrated the contribution that

everyone at Eastside has made during

the year - from those who are involved

in 'visible' ministries, to those who serve

faithfully behind the scenes.

If you were not at the service and have

served the Lord in any way during the

year, we want you to know that we

are truly, truly grateful for all you have

done for the Lord at Eastside. The

pastors and leadership of Eastside

often speak of the faithfulness of the

many who spend hours of their time

serving, getting to church early,

staying late, sacrificing time during the

evenings, contributing financially to

the ministry at ECC, praying faithfully

and more.

Eastside truly has a 'serving culture'

that few churches can match, and we

want you to know we do not take your

service for granted. Thank you for

all you do for the Lord at Eastside.

Be blessed over this festive season!

Talk to us

Celebrating Baby Brownie

Thank you to all the precious ladies that

joined me in celebrating the near

arrival of Baby Brownie this

past Sunday in the beautiful Eastside

gardens. Duncan and I have been

overwhelmed by Gods goodness to us,

and blessed beyond words with

prayers, support, and special gifts.

“For you created my inmost being; you

knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and

wonderfully made; your works are

wonderful, I know that full well.”

-Tanya & Baby Brownie
