THE MARRIAGE COURSE HELPERS There is an opportunity for three couples or singles to help us serve meals during The Marriage Course. Catering, venue preparation and clean-up is organised; you will simply be required to serve the meal, and tea and coffee from 19:00 – 22:00. Please contact us if you would like to help. Please send an email to [email protected] or SMS your name to 072 737 0862. This is a great way to serve the local church body!

TRAILER MINISTRY UNDERWAY The dates are set and a mission team from Coastal Community Church (U.S.) arrives on 5 July so we can kick off Trailer Ministry, 7 – 13 July. A minimum of two teams will be deployed to under-resourced churches with support team leaders who have committed to serving in the areas of catering, housing, transportation, touring with the U.S. team, and trailer preparation. The mission team leaders are ready, so what’s next? Team members! You can either sign up to go out for a life- changing week or assist a supporting team to make that difference. Sign-ups begin in April. Contact Debbie Warren for more information: [email protected] OR [email protected]

PRACTICAL WORSHIP Worship is what we were created for. This is the

final end of all existence-the worship of God. God

created the universe so that it would display the

worth of His glory. And He created us so that we

would see this glory and reflect it by knowing and

loving it-with all our heart and soul and mind and

strength. (John Piper)

Worship is our response, both personal and corporate, to God for who He is, and what He has done; expressed in and by the things we say and the way we live. (Louie Giglio) “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1-2) How do we do this? 1. With our Mouths The most obvious way to worship is with our mouths, but it does not simply end with singing. We can go to church and raise our hands and sing, but are we speaking words that resonate His truth? 2. With our Actions We don’t want to say one thing, yet do another. Is your heart filled so that its overflow is God’s love, truth, and mercy? You are truly worshiping when you are living the Gospel. “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true

worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”(John 4:23) 3. With our Money This is a subject all on its own, but when we give up our money to God, it is telling Him that we Trust in Him. We are living worship, not just saying it. “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” (Matthew 6:24) 4. With our Lifestyle Are we living a life where people can tell that our lives are centred around the Living God, or do we get caught up in the things of this world? “Those who worship worthless idols forfeit the mercy that could be theirs.” (Jonah 2:8) 5. With our Hearts You can go through the motions all day long, but the Lord can see our hearts. You can’t hide it from Him. He wants to capture our hearts. If we give Him that, then everything else (on the list above and more) will follow. “All of you praise me with your words, but you never really think about me. It is useless to worship me, when you teach rules made up by humans.”(Matthew 15:8-9) Source: http://christophercoleman.net/archives/661/

This week: Life after life We’ll be focusing this week on what happens to our earthly bodies, and who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. See you at 09:00 and 18:00.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. (1 Cor 16:13-14)
