people reckon havinga luxury motor outsidetheir home can add to thevalue of their house, thepoll by car rental compa-ny Avis found.Around a third of the
2,000 adults surveyed alsothought a flash car would
help sell a property.This seemingly neces-
sary accessory was mostvalued in Wolverhamp-ton, where respondentsreckoned it would add asmuch as £6,100 to a prop-erty.The majority (57 per
cent) admitted they tooknotice of a luxury car inthe drive when viewing anewhome. A top-endmod-el gave the impression
it was a safe and desir-able place to live and theproperty was an attrac-tive one. Car models seenas being the best to haveparked outside a propertyinclude Mercedes-Benz,Audi and BMW.Open-topped cars were
also popular, particularlywhen enticing womenbuyers.
