#n a U&4 operating sstem, #racle highl recommends that ou enable

Unicode support b setting the !%and !C_!!en-ironment -ariables to alocale with the U+F9@ character set. +his enables the operating sstem to

process an character in Unicode. S#/ technologies are based on Unicode.

f the operating sstem is configured to use a non9U+F9@ encoding, S#/

components ma function in an unexpected wa. For example, a non9/SC filename can ma%e the file inaccessible and cause an error. #racle does not support

problems caused b operating sstem constraints.
