SOA Gypsy brand story

SOA gypsy is a young brand with an old soul; handmade clothing for the sophisticated global nomad.

Every piece is individually designed by Valerie Paniandy and hand dyed with eco-friendly, low impact dyes and a love for hand-cut pieces on the beautiful island of Bali.

Inspiration for the different collections are driven from the nomad lifestyle of the designer who has lived and travelled in Africa, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, the Caribbean and Europe. These experiences formed the basic elements for SOA Gypsy’s designs; a comfortable fit, simple design, ethnical production process and exotic influences; all designs are made from a traveler’s perspective for a perfect fit and feel.inspiration moodboard

The designerValerie Paniandy was born on the multi-cultural island of Madagascar. Her gypsy soul has allowed her to travel the world, discovering exotic places, forming her ethnic tastes, inspiration and special design techniques.

Her first collection existed after her styling study at Es Mode in Nice, France. She started designing and producing her collections since, first from France and then, as a true nomad, producing all over the world.

In 2008 she developed the SOA Gypsy collections in Bali, Indonesia.

Valerie is personally using all her skills that she has learnt over time, like tie-dye techniques in Guinee, West Africa where she lived before coming to Asia. Now personalizing traditional dying techniques from Solo, Jawa.

Her full attention goes out to perfecting the hand dying process to make sure all products are made in an ethical and responsible production from start to finish.

The collectionEvery SOA Gypsy product is hand-dyed and handmade with love, from high-quality natural and ethically aware materials.Each piece is designed as a masterpiece, inspired by many world travels, created to reveal the beauty of the woman who wears it.

The collections are mainly inspired by the yogi lifestyle that goes on in the village of Ubud, Bali but also by the beautiful colors and spices found in the bohemian Goa, India. Festivals such as “Bali Spirit Festival” source the inspiration for feminine yet comfortable outfits that you can wear inside and outside the yoga shala.

SOA Gypsy is all about expressing your true goddess, by feeling comfortable but also very sexy and feminine; all products are designed to reveal the beauty of all women inside and outside.

Snake Skin print: 3 colors

Snake SkinTropical for us are the animals that live in the wild, with a bohemian flavor some products come in three different tones of snake skin print; Brown/Grey, Blue Teal and Antik Pink.

Tie-DyeWe also have 4 different groups of tie-dye techniques available with their specific color combinations; Group A, Group B, Group C & Group E

Materials

This SOA Gypsy collection uses Rayon Lycra, Rayon Voile, Herringbone Rayon and Rayon Jersey.

Cotton Lycra: A strechy spandex spun with cotton fibers to create fabrics which will give you a lot of comfort, movement and shape retention, that will not wash away.

Rayon Lycra: This textile is produced from natural raw materials. Rayon is made from regenerated cellulose fibers which can come from a variety of plant- or tree pulps. Rayon therefore is a very versatile fiber and has the same comfort properties as natural fibers. Rayon fabrics are always soft, smooth, cool and highly absorbent. They do not insulate body heat, making them ideal for use in hot and humid climates.

Rayon Voile: A light material that feels like cotton, but has a more comfortable fit. This material is mainly used for the skirts and makes the product look and feel very soft and airy.

Special requests

Different colours and materials are possible for production on request.

Depending on the size and budget of your wholesale purchase, we can use Organic Cotton or

Bamboo fabrics for all items. Please let us know if this is something you desire and

keep in mind that this will affect the price ratio.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions regarding the collection,

production process, sizes or anything that is on your mind. We are available to alter our items to your taste and ship

worldwide from Bali, Indonesia.

Wholesale terms

Minimum Order: We require a minimum order of 50 pieces, 10 pieces per de-sign (sizes and colors can be mixed).

Payment: A deposit of 50% is required at the time of the order. The remainder plus shipping/handling is due when the order is complete and ready to be shipped. Payment can be made via bank wire in euros or dollars to a Bali, Indonesian account. Any wire transaction fees and custom/duty charges are to be handled separately by the customer and are not included in the costs.

Timing: Production begins after the initial 50% of the payment has been confirmed paid.Depending on the quantity ordered and the factory load, production can take an average of a month and a half to two months, and shipping up to 2 weeks from Bali, Indonesia (depending on shipping method) where our factory is locat-ed.

Shipping Method: We can manage shipping via regular post, cargo, DHL, Fedex, etc, as requested by the customer.

Return Policy: We allow for exchanges within 30 days of receipt of shipment for defective items. The item must not have been worn and still have original labels/tags in place.
