Case Study: Application of PIAT for SOAR Transformation

• Recently, we applied PIAT tool to conduct transformation/upgrade impact analysis for an Indian training institute (which provides coaching for various national level competitive exams) . The institute is using PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 to support their Financial processes.

• Objective is to standardize its business processes, minimize customizations and migrate its PeopleSoft FSCM framework to Fusion Financials.

• The outcomes of analysis are presented in the next few slides.

1. The System at TSTT is moderately customized (between 10-15%)

2. It will fall under Standard+ Scope

3. We have also noticed there are some extra modules being used (e.g. bolt on e-performance) where a complete bolt on functionality for eperformance has been built.

4. There are Custom Built Reports showing up in the Compare Report (primarily associated to GP module). We need sample outputs of those Reports to understand if similar reports are available in Fusion or need to be Custom built.

5. There are Custom Application Engines and WinWord processes showing up in Compare Report. We need to discuss with TSTT Team.

6. A lot of integrations are being used which would need to be understood and assessed for implementation in Fusion.

7. Additional analysis will be done after the discovery session

CHALLENGES and OPPORTUNITIES • TSTT was running the PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain for

their Financials and Procurement business process.• TSTT PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain was on rel 9.0 and the

tools version 8.49 for which Oracle had already ended the support.• TSTT past upgrade exercise to PeopleSoft rel 9.2 went on hold due

to cost overrun.• ERP Cloud became the obvious choice as their lowest total cost of

ownership was offered by Cloud.
