UK Facebook Statistics 2014

• Facebook growth period is decreasing – 31 million users – 1.5 million higher last year

• It’s not longer ‘cool’ for the younger generation• 2.5 million (13-17 years old) using the site• Largest demographic remains – 25-34 years old

(26% of all users)• It remains the single largest concentration of

users on any social media platform

• Confirmed statistics from Google not yet available.

• Challenging due to the number of services involved in Google+: YouTube, Gmail, etc.

Biggest growers

• Pinterest has grown exponetially.• Over 2 million users – July 2013• New features: ‘place pins’, ‘dream trip’, ‘article

pin’.• Instagram continues to show growth with 150

million global users in late 2013• Messaging Apps: Snapchat (user control
