Themes and Hypothesis for Social Mood in 2017

The dominating factors evoke a strong demand for change in politics and society through feelings of:● Divergence● Distrust ● Injustice● Awareness

Working Hypothesis:Right now, the negative mood is slowly turning the direction of society. People are becoming more aware of injustices in politics and in our society. They are beginning to gather the courage to be heard and are demanding change. We expect society's demand for change will bring consumers to dress differently to make statements with their style and to make purchase decisions to support certain causes. We suspect that bold colors, silhouettes, graphics and brands that support certain causes will be trending in Spring 2017.
