Social Network Application (SNA) allows passengers to send and receive updates to their social networking (e.g. Facebook) accounts. These updates include avionics data that can piggyback onto the air-to-ground transmission, allowing for additional graphics to be attached to the update at the ground.

Splash screen informs passengers of how SNA works. Requires acceptance of terms.
Social Network Application allows you to update your Facebook Share Status while onboard the aircraft.
There is a $0.50 charge for each update in order to cover the cost for licensing and transmission. You will be required to swipe your credit card for each update and will be prompted to accept the charges prior to each update.
There are also bundled automated updates that you may choose from.

Map sample images are provided for the map update option. The map image is constructed on the ground based on the avionics data provided by the AC, and then sent to the social network’s page. This minimizes the air-to-ground transmission size.
