• The guy stood out and stopped the boy for keep abusing the girl
• But when the girl’s abusing the boy, people tended to ignore. No one were willing to go forward and stop the girl.

• The bystander effect occurs when the presence of others hinders an individual from intervening in an emergency situation. Pluralistic ignorance.

Bystander Effect
• The girl(red box) was watching the fight but didn’t give any help. The 2nd girl straight ignored the fight.
• The man(red box) is the 1st person who stood out to help the girl, then the guard(blue box) also moved forward to help.
