About SSSPO
VISION
A prosperous and developed Afghanistan, where every individual has access to justice, peace, livelihood and human rights, where communities can enjoy health, education and equality on every
prospect of life.
MISSION
The mission of SSSPO is to strive for a positive change in the local communities through enabling the poor and marginalized masses especially women with education, awareness and trainings.
It wants to coordinate and work together with other civil societies, national and international bodies to promote peace, democracy, women rights and economic development. Our working strategies are centered on capacity building, livelihood, human rights and advocacy for women and children.
Vision & Mission
SSSPO for the past eight
years has successfully
implemented projects in
more than 5 provinces
including, Kabul, Herat,
Badakhshan, Samangan,
Takhar and Balkh..
Almost a quarter of a century,
Afghanistan devastated and burnt in civil war and internal conflicts. We are
witness of physical, social, and economical
destructions. In order to medicate the people’s
pains, a comprehensive struggle of male and
female Afghans is needed. In the past, role of
women in all directions of life was neglected. A
wider involvement of women in all parts of live is
essential. It is obvious that women can play vital
role together with men in peace stability and
economic restoration of the country.
SSSPO has stepped up in 2007 for rehabilitations
and development of Afghanistan and is committed to this responsibility of
promoting human right and social empowerment. It has been established to
assist rehabilitation and development of Afghanistan, to bring positive change
to the lives of Afghan women, children, and youths, and to secure the
operations of rehabilitation and development.

uplift
SSSPO is a social development organization, and it strives to achieve maximum outputs
for the uplift of communities through utilizing the limited resources efficiently. The key
areas of operations for SSSPO consist of:
Education and Awareness
Livelihood and Income generation
Peace building and Democracy
Capacity building and Skill development
Human Rights with emphasis on women and children rights
Focal Thematic Areas of SSSPO’s Operations
SSSPO’s strategy for
education and awareness
consist of community
mobilization through
school constructions,
arranging workshops,
discussion groups,
trainings, seminars and
socio-cultural activities
which promote education..
Education and Awareness
Access and quality of education are major issues particularly in the rural areas of
Afghanistan. There are limitations in the existing educational system. The public sector is
inefficient, entailing poor planning,
implementation and monitoring mechanisms.
Due to lack of expertise and capacity, proper
need assessment is not carried out.
The goal of SSSPO’s education sector is to
provide quality base education, and meet the
basic educational needs and requirements of
vulnerable children, especially girls and children
from disadvantaged groups.
In this regard SSSPO has already intervened in the
local communities of Kabul, Takhar, Badakhshan
and Samangan provinces with the help of
national and international donors to implement
projects. Schools have been constructed and
trainings and workshops has been conducted in
which hundreds of rural masses has built their capacities.
SSSPO’s strategy for
livelihood and income
generation is to identify,
select and develop the
vulnerable women to
make them enable for
income generation of
their families.
Vocational skill building
is the key in this regard..
Livelihood and Income Generation / Skill Building
The primary objective behind the establishment and operation of a vocational and
educational training is to enable trainees with
market driven trade in order to empower them
for income generation of their families. The
trainees are provided with high-quality skills in the
field of vocational training.
The most vulnerable part of our society; women,
are the first priority of SSSPO in this regard. Women
who are the family heads or have no other mean
of income are selected on the basis of their
interest and abilities and their capacities are built
in order to help them develop their own business.
Till now SSSPO has helped more than 500 rural
families to develop their skills for income
generation through vocational trainings and other support.
SSSPO’s strategy for human
rights is advocacy for
victims, awareness raising,
community elders
engagement and
supporting the victims with
the help of government and
international community
Human Rights with emphasis on women and children rights
Like other underdeveloped countries, Afghanistan too faces lots of human rights
violation and regulations problem. There are
thousands of Women and children in
Afghanistan who are victims of different types of
injustice, in terms of societal and legal abuse.
In this regard SSSPO is striving to advocate the
raising problems of the women and children of
rural areas in Afghanistan. Making awareness
and educational campaign on women rights
and try to eliminate all types of violence against
women through the collaboration of community
elders, government and international community
are the key strategies of SSSPO.
