About the conference: The 5�� Annual Na�onal Conference of All India Associa�on of Medical Social Work

Professionals is in con�nua�on of our previous four na�onal seminars/conferences held at PGIMER‐

Chandigarh, AIIMS‐New Delhi, Safdarjung‐New Delhi and KGMU, Lucknow, U�ar Pradesh during year

2014 to 2017. This year the Medical Social Work Professionals of Government Medical College & Hospital,

Chandigarh are organizing the 5�� Annual Na�onal Conference. The main purpose of this conference is to

discuss deliberately the need, importance, current prac�ces and possibili�es of social work prac�ces in

healthcare setup.

Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh: This ins�tute is among the top ten Governments

Medical Collages, was started in 1991 in which mainly MBBS, MD, MS courses are available. This

ins�tu�on is running various paramedical courses also. This �me 08 seats of M. Phil. in Psychiatric Social

Work are available under the Dept. of Psychiatry.

All India Associa�on of Medical Social Work Professionals: AIAMSWP was established in 2009 that is a

registered non–profit, non‐poli�cal, na�onal level organiza�on. This associa�on is ac�ve for the

promo�on of standards of Social Work Prac�ces in healthcare. This associa�on provides a na�onal level

common pla�orm to the professionals, deliberately to discuss the different issues related to profession.

Only life members of AIAMSWP are eligible for award paper Sr. No. 1 & 2. Only pre‐registered par�cipants are eligible for any categories of awards. Only original research papers in social work will be accepted for the award category. Award will be given to the three best presenter from each category, who obtain maximum

capital of two states‐ Punjab & Haryana which is famous for its planned architect. This city is well connected

for the different part of India. Also, there is Ambala railway sta�on (45km away from Chandigarh). In

Chandigarh, Govt. Medical College & Hospital is located around 04 km. away from Chandigarh Railway Sta�on,
