Kalupur Swaminarayan Temple:

established in 1411 AD by a noble, Ahmed Shah, who had rebelled against his overlords in Delhi. In today’s era if one can feel every city have its own flavor, breath and attitude. Ahmedabad is different in all those 3 aspect. You can feel flavor of humanity, integrity and honesty. You can breath business, hard work and healthy competition. Cities appear and disappear only to reappear in the tableaux of Indian civilization.

Lakes

Kankaria Lake: It is basically an artificial lake with thirty four sides. Lying on the south eastern side of the Ahmedabad city, the lake also has a fascinating island summer palace. There is also a zoo and children's park located nearby the lake.

Sabarmati Riverfront: There had been a long-standing acknowledgement that the riverfront could be turned into a major urban asset from its undesirable state. Proposals to achieve the same have been made since the 1960s and it was finally in 1998 that this multi-dimensional project was envisioned and undertaken by the city.

ISKCON Temple: This temple depicts Lord Krishna with his beloved lover Radha, who is regarded as the epitome of true love. Also called as the Hare Krishna Temple, ISKCON temple situates in a vast area with lovely trees, which gives a serene and tranquil environ to the devotees.

Vaishnodevi Temple: A true replica of the famed temple in Jammu and Kashmir, this lovely shrine also depicts Vaishno Devi as the principle deity. The only difference between the two is that the latter can be visited with in a couple of hours.

Tirupati balaji Temple: Sri Venkateswaraswamy temple was constructed by Ahmedabad Andhra MahaSabha to provide and show the devotees of Lord Sri Balaji residing in and around Gujarat, the sevas and pujas being performed in Lord’s abode of Tirumala. Akshardham: A specimen of fine craftsmanship, the

Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar is one of the largest and most prominent temples in the entire state of Gujarat. Located in Gandhinagar city, the famous Akshardham temple is a place, which consists of a number of things under one roof like art, education, architecture, exhibitions and research. It is truly an architectural masterpiece.

Rani Rupmati Mosque: Located on the Northern side of the Amdavad city, Rani Rupmati mosque was established by Sultan Mehmud Beghara. Named after Rani Rupmati, the wife of Sultan, the mosque was constructed during 1430-1440 AD. The structural design of the Rani Rupmati mosque of Amdavad represents a blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture and this is what makes it stand out above all others.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College was founded in 1963 with capacity of 75 annual admissions, later increased to 150 from 2000. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was only the second Municipal Corporation – next to Mumbai to establish a medical college of its own. From its humble beginning, it has now blossomed into one of the most advanced and prestigious medical colleges in the country today. The objective of the college is not only to produce a good doctor but good citizen with empathy for poor patients.

The first and foremost Swaminarayan temple was built at Kalupur in Amdavad. People come from different parts of the country and congregate here in this temple to seek the blessings of the deity. Dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, the temple boasts of its exquisite wooden carvings.

DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY: The full-fledged department of anatomy has experienced and motivated faculty, excellent infrastructure and facilities to impart high quality, clinically relevant, contemporary education in an experiential learning environment. In addition to traditional teaching methods, the department endeavors to leverage

emerging technologies in providing a blended learning environment.

Jama Masjid: Lying opposite to Mahatma Gandhi Road, on the eastern side of Teen Darwaza, Jama Masjid is one of the most splendid mosques of India. Made by using yellow sandstones, the architecture of this mosque is a blend of Hindu and Muslim styling. This edifice was built using items rescued from the demolished Hindu and Jain temples.

Sidi Saiyed Mosque: Located near Lal Darwaza in Amdavad, the mosque of Sidi Sayed is one of the most prominent mosques in the Amdavad city. This monument has gained a worldwide recognition, due to its splendor. This skillfully carved mosque is truly the one of its kinds in the whole world.

Vastrapur Lake: A pictorial lake in a lustrous environment is a joyful visa and Vastrapur lake in the western part of Ahmedabad is one of such alluring location.

Hathee Singh Temple: Constructed in the year 1850 AD, Hathee Singh temple is a very famous Jain temple. It has been named after its founder Seth Hathee Singh, a prosperous Jain merchant. The time to visit this temple is daily 10 am - noon & 4 - 7 .30pm

Ahmed Shah Mosque: Sultan Ahmed Shah mosque in Amdavad is a religious place for Muslims that is well known for its architectural designing. Lying on the left side of the famous Bhadra Fort, the mosque is very appealing to look at. It is one of the oldest mosques of Amdavad.
