Abstract

SODA AND MENTOSThe purpose is to see how high the soda goes. Also to see if number of mentos varies. I think that the soda will go 15 feet high.First I combinded the mentos and it did go 15 feet.

PlanningMaterials: Soda ((2 leader)) Geiser tube Mentos

ProcedureGather Materials

Put tube on

Pull string and hold bottle

Measure

Data1 mentos

= 1 in.

2 mentos

= 3 in.

6 mentos

= 3 ½ feet

11 mentos

= 7 ½ feet

What I’ve Learned• I have learned that soda and mentos could

be explosive.

• Diet coke will react better then plain coke.

• The more carbon in the soda will make it go higher.

• The New Question :

• What if we put the mentos

in and put the cap back on.
