When I Must Leave You
When I must leave you for a little whilePhase do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years,But start out bravely with a gallant smile
And for my sake and in His name,Live on and do all things the same.
Feed not your loneliness on empty daysBut jill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheerAnd I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die
For I am waiting for you in the sky.

"What God Hath Promised"God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through.God hath not promised sun without rain,Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
God hath not promised we shall not know,Toil and temptation, trouble and woe.He hath not told us we shall not bear
Many a burden, many a care. But God hath promised strength for the day,
Rest for the laborer, light for the wayGrace far the trials, help from above,Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises."
II Peter 1:4**********
