Softub Solar & Unosider Luna Gazebo Tom Thornbury the founder of Softub Inc USA had the vision already more than 10 or even 15 years ago to have a solar powered Softub Spa! Due to economical reasons the concept and the idea was never brought forward as typically for USA – at least at that time everything had to bring a good ROI (Return on Investment) and as this was then not possible – maybe even today not! The only thing which has finally changed after the Fukushima disaster is that we all have achieved a much better awareness world wide about energy consumption – there are even good and fast cars produced all electric like Tesla & Fisker/Karma and many others to please this upscale and environment friendly customer base. As Switzerland is one of the top countries for Tesla sales and Switzerland used to recycle general garbage decades earlier than many other countries and continents it does not astonish that the home base of the new Solar Concept of Softub Solar is based in Switzerland which is also the international head office of International Sales & Marketing for Softub.

 

     

Trying to get top specialists in the solar technology in Europe and USA they all where not at all helpful – in contrary they all tried to keep their knowledge for themselves or only wanted to make money guaranteed at front before even starting to share and communicate. Luckily the young and cooperative solar specialist LEC in our home town Küsnacht / Zürich Switzerland did made it happen and created the first solar station for Softub.

The first test showed that it is possible just not nice yet. Solbian a famous sail boat racer needs for his sailboats also solar energy and he uses the thin, nice and flexible Photovoltaic which also produce more energy per m2 than the classical old fashioned glass solar cells. Unosider a good strategic partner in Italy who is producing for us and our world wide distribution of Softub the best and nicest Gazebos did develop the Luna a Solar panel Gazebo which is supplying enough energy for our Softub Spa. Softub is already the most ecological and economical spa on earth – recycling waste energy and heat of the pump which heats like this the entire spa. Combined and backed up of course with the genius Poly Bond High Tech isolation material the entire tub is made off. Like this an average 10.—US$ or 10 Euro electricity consumption per month. As Softub International and Softub Inc is constantly improving the ecological and green side of our product also to respect the needs of our trendy and ecological customers we proudly present the first world wide new Softub Solar Spa. There are 2 versions available one stand alone with Lithium Batteries without any electrical house network needed and an other one where the customer can supply even energy to the community and gets credit for his supplied energy to the community and he uses his classical plug in electricity home network to run the Softub spa.
