Exceptional product quality! Our Bosch solar cells are subjected to a full reverse-current resistance test. Bosch solar cells feature a very low reverse current of less than 1.5 A at –12 V. Cell performance is also measured in compliance with IEC standards 60904 and 60981 and with regard to solar spectral irradiance distribution in compliance with IEC 60904-3 ed. 2 2008.

High annual yields! Our monocrystalline cells guarantee a better performance in weak light than our competitors. High annual yields can thus be achieved, even at sub-optimal levels of sunlight.

Stable performance rates! In its solar cell manufacturing processes, Bosch uses high purity silicon, high quality ingots and wafers out of its own production. This enables us to achieve consistently high performance with our solar cells.

Thin Film Solar Modules Bosch Solar Energy AG

Quick and easy installation! Our glass-glass thin-film modules can be very quickly installed onto their mounting system due to the ideally matched components, structural elements and substructure materials produced in-house at Bosch. Changes in temperature over the course of a year can cause mechanical deformation in framework systems. Using Bosch’s innovative slide-in technology ensures such changes in shape no longer have a negative impact on our thin-film modules, in comparison to conventional clamping technology.

Long-lasting high product quality! We provide a five-year product warranty and twenty-five year performance warranty with our thin-film modules. The exceptional product quality is assured not only by reduced module performance tolerances of –0/+4.99 Wp, but also by a high mechanical load-carrying capacity of up to 2 400 Pa provided by the heat-strengthened glass. We monitor and optimize our solar modules by measuring the current-voltage characteristic when contact bands are attached and after thin-film modules are completed.

Good annual yields on a long-term basis! As a result of their efficient performance in weak light, Bosch thin-film modules utilize sunlight all day long, even at dawn or dusk. They also feature a lower temperature coefficient in comparison to crystalline modules.

Twenty-five people can on average install up to 5 000 thin-film modules per day, with a realistic breakage rate of 0.05 percent.
