4

INTRODUCTION

I’m an advocate of alternate energies.

My battery powered devices die on long trips.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

There are a lot of different ways to make personal solar chargers, but there was not much information on newer flexible cells.

Getting the device to charge via USB.

Microcontroller fried 24 hours before I had to present.

ASSUMPTIONS

Assuming the user actually travels where there no electricity.

They need Sun light. The user has all day to charge

a battery. The user is charging a USB

powered device.

PROPOSED SOLUTION List steps taken to solve the

problem such as but not limited to: Brainstorming Internet Research Physical Research Assembly Testing and troubleshooting (A lot) Verifying results Rebuilding the device

FUTURE WORK

In the future I would like to add more panels.

I would like to create a waterproof casing for the product so it can attach to backpacks, bicycles, and other devices.
