KYK-HLZ SERIES THERMAL OIL HEATERS WORKING PRINCIPLE

It is very important to keep the oil velocity inside the tube a t a certain level. Having a low speed oil flowing inside the thermal oil heater can cause crakingand this situation ruins the oil completely. As a result the heat transfer properties of the oil dissapears. Preventing this fenomena is quite important because overheated heat transfer tube surfaces can be deformed and cracks can occur. In this case fire inside the boiler in unevitable. In Akkaya KYK-HLZ thermal oil heaters, the total length of the tubes and the pressure losses are calculated carefully and the heaters are designed in this manner. For the solid fuel fired boilers it is very important to have sufficient combustion chamber volume and grate area in order to obtain efficient combustion. It is possible to get required dimensions for the combustion chamber in KYKHLZ model boilers.

Inner structure of the KYKHLZ boilers are consist of tube bundles given the shape shown in the next figure. The number and connection type of these bundles are chosen after the calculation carried for each capacity.

According to the boiler capacity number of tube bundles are placed on top of each other and connected to the inlet & exit headers..

KYK-HLZ SERIES THERMAL OIL HEATERS WORKING PRINCIPLE

The burners (gas-oil or solid fuel stoker) are placed to the combustion chamber of the boiler as shown in the figure. There are cleaning ports on top of the tube bundles. Automatic tube cleaning option can be installed upon request.

The useful heat of the flame gases are transfered to the oil while the flame is pasing in between the tube passages. The turning flame gases finaly reaches to the stack exit located in the middle. The counter flow of flame and oil at some parts increases the heat transfer rate..

For the big capacity applications more than one boielr can be installed and run in parallel. Akkaya Inc. provides turnkey solutions for the thermal oil heating systems.

KYK-HLZ series thermal oil heaters are manufactured according to the PED97/23 EC directive. The tubes and the other materials used in the production is chose n according to the norms. Welding operations are done by the certifcated welders . Approved WPS and WPQR 's are applied in the welding process. RT control is carried out after the weldings according to the standard requests. Akkaya Inc. has ISO9001-2008 QMS certificate.
