It was rainy day. The Soliven family had to cross a river to share blessings to kids in Labbu. A family friend availed the services of Jollibee Solano for this cause. The family shared lessons about the environment and Christ’s love to all. This is annually.

They are our sons. The girl to the left is Efraim Sta. Ines. She is not an adopted daughter but has been under our care from Grade 4 until now that she is in Grade VIII. We send her to school. We provide her food, shelter and educational needs. Our sons consider her as part of the family.

This is a spiritual advocacy of the family. Since 1991, I play various roles for the re-enactment of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. My two sons also served as characters 3 years ago. As a character, I have to memorize my lines as Pontius Pilate. My wife and my kids help me memorize my lines. During the actual, we go there as a family…to pray….and to re-enact…We have to climb the Bangan Hill.

To the right shows Samuel Heinrich, first from left. He joined the Good Friday procession.

The Soliven family in a family reunion. Since 2003 when this reunion was conceptualized, the Soliven family was chosen as the President of the families. As a family, we exemplify them values worth emulating. Most of these families are poor and the Soliven family is sharing inspiration through education….through education, the Soliven family survived the tests of times.

The Soliven family is involved with the Marriage Encounter. Our kids also are very active in the “for kids” component of its advocacy. Through the ME, our marriage relationship and family ties get stronger…since 2003

The Soliven family sought the help of Rural Bank of Bayombong to help SMUHS sponsor “Jollibee in Labbu”. Everyone dared the angry river through a wooden boat. --- to touch the lives of the kids… The activities were done at the river bank because it was risky to go up the hill of Labbu.

The mother-child here is a recipient of “Adopt 25 poor kids”

The Soliven family is immersed in the “Adopt 25 poor kids” organized by Samuel, as SMUHS Principal (2005-2012) with the school This pro-poor program invited in July 2008, 25 pregnant mothers coming from very poor families setting a target that the once the kids are born, they will see “other families” who will guide them in their growth and development. This 2013, the kids are now 4-5 years old. The Soliven family is committed to immerse itself to this school-based longitudinal extension.
