Recommendation for Drew Carter Winston Churchill High School March 25, 2016 Dear Selection Committee, As a former Churchill football player, I care deeply about the students, athletic programs, and academics of that institution. It is because of this deep concern that I recommend Drew Carter to you as a consideration for the head football coach. Drew has overcome incredible obstacles in his life to emerge as a compassionate friend, loyal family man, clear communicator, and enthusiastic football coach. The Churchill football program would greatly benefit from the influence and leadership that Drew has to offer. I have known Drew since 1995, where he was a leader/counselor at a camp I attended. From that time through high school (1995- 2003), I had weekly interactions with Drew through church and mission trips. Unfortunately, also during that time, I had to play against his football teams. I did not lose many football games growing up, but I have never defeated one of Drew’s teams. His teams were always focused, disciplined, fun, and successful. He reminds me of Pete Carrol, because he wins most of the time and he is the kind of coach who celebrates with players (and vice versa). As a man, Drew is courageous, understanding, bold, thoughtful, loving, and genuine. He is passionate about working with young people, on and off the field. He has literally decades of experience in the Eugene community, and this city would be fortunate to have him back in that role. He is a role model to many, including myself. Please feel free to call me with any additional questions you may have about Drew.

Recommendation for Drew CarterWinston Churchill High School March 25, 2016

Dear Selection Committee,

As a former Churchill football player, I care deeply about the students, athletic programs, and academics of that institution.

From that time through high school (1995-2003), I had weekly interactions with Drew through church and mission trips.

Sincerely,

Solomon Rexius2003 Churchill graduateCollege Pastor, University Fellowship [email protected]
