Saragossa (Spain)

SOLAR ROOF TOP

General Motors and Veolia Environnement

have built the world’s biggest solar farm on

a factory rooftop near Saragossa. Covering

180,000 sqm and consisting of 84,800

photovoltaic panels, it is estimated

to cut carbon emissions by about 6,700

metrics tons annually. Schneider Electric

designed and built the complete electrical

system, from the low voltage AC power

through its connection to the medium voltage

45 kV grid managed by Endesa.

World’s biggest solar farm on a factory rooftop near

Saragossa (Spain), with a complete Schneider Electric

solution

“We recognize that sustainability feeds our bottom line and that sustaining a profitable business is our
