It is about learning new things which you enjoy doing but are not able to do due to time constraint. But this is the ideal time to polish up some hobby that gets neglected during school days. So you are going to take up certain responsibilities and also enjoy holidays with your family and friends. We hope your homework and activities will be presented in time. Some pointers for Students to Follow: Delegate your work for quick completion. Be independent and honest in doing your work. Pick up a new activity for leisure time. The holiday homework must be done systematically as per given instructions. Children are expected to make separate files for every subject with a cover page.

1. Notice Writing
Assume that you have to initiate a donation camp for the labours who are
trying to reach their homes in the lockdown period, write a notice to the
local authorities to provide you with a platform for this noble cause.
2. Movie Review Watch any inspirational movie and write about the story and the characters
that impress you the most.
3. Poem Composition Compose a poem based on “Our Country” or “Corona Warriors” or
“Nature”
4. Story Writing
Write a short story in 150-200 words on the basis of the hints provided:
The doorbell rang, Atul opened the door. At first he could not recognize
the tall and well-dressed man who stood before him. Then the man spoke

5. Book Reading
Read the famous book ‘Wings of Fire’ by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and write a
book review for the same. Include your personal response to the review.

• Ishwaran the Storyteller
7. Grammar Revise tenses, Active & Passive voice and Direct & Indirect Speech
8. Beehive Learn the chapters which are done in notebook.
9. Instructions All the activities will be done on decorated A4 sheet paper and paste it in

Prepare a project file with following details
1. The total length of project file should not be more than 15 written pages of A4 size sheet
2. The project report should be hand written
3. The project report should be developed and presented in the following order:
a) Cover page
b) List of contents with page numbers
c) Acknowledgement (acknowledging the Institute, offices and kibrarues visited and persons
who have helped)
e) Summary and conclusion based on findings
f) Magazine section paste relevant pictures
g) Bibliography should have the title, author, publisher and if a website the name of the
website with the specific website link which has been used.

I. THINK AND ANSWER
A) Amit filter bottle of ammonia in one corner of the laboratory. Soon the whole
laboratory was filled up with pungent irritating odour. The students
immediately open the doors and windows and switch on the exhaust fans. After
sometime the students got relief.
i) Explain what did actually happen?
ii) Name of the phenomena which is responsible for this.
B) Ordinary water boils at 100-degree C, can it be made to boil at 95-degree C or
105-degree C?
II. ACTIVITY
(A)
• Take 2 ml of water in a glass and allow it to stand under a fan.
• Take 2 ml of water in an open bowl and allow it to stand under a fan.
• Take 2 ml of ethyl alcohol or hand sanitizer in an open Bowl and allow it to
stand under a fan.
• Take 2 ml of water in an open Bowl and allow it to stand inside a closed
cupboard
• Now note the time taken for water and ethyl alcohol/hand sanitizer to
evaporate.
• Repeat the above experiment with water on a windy day/rainy day and record
the time taken for the evaporation of the water.
• Take 2 ml of water in a bowl and heat the test tube on a flame.
• Record your observation. Here is a sample table for recording your
observation.
