DESCRIPTION
Pecha Kucha presentation by the Sonex workgroup at the Repository Fringe 2010 (Edinburgh, Sep 3rd, 2010). The JISC-supported Scholarly Output Notification and Exchange (SONEX) workgroup was established at the International Repositories Workshop (Amsterdam, Mar'09) for analysing and dealing with interoperability issues underlying strategies for populating repositories. After JISC Deposit call for funding deposit-related projects was released last March, the role of the SONEX workgroup widened for including coordination and eventual support for resulting projects, as well as surveillance of deposit-related initiatives worldwide. Strategies for handling interoperability issues in the repository environment along SONEX rst year of work are summarized in this paper, along with future lines of work for the SONEX initiative.TRANSCRIPT
