Amplifier spacing is (5) floors with a minimum IDF
output of -45 dBm.
Model SD SA-6AL with automatic gain control simplifi es
the expansion of DBS Ka/Ku signals. They serve well in
cascades for MDU multiple IDF applications.
Note the FLEX2 port has extended bandwidth to allow
amplifi cation of Off -Air or CATV signals.
Model SD MST6xx directional couplers follow amplifi ers
to feed distribution hubs. The typical insertion loss is
listed.

for (5) taps and 100 feet of RG-6 at 1850 MHz to
determine the 5 dB average loss per tap.
The loss at 250 MHz was 11 dB. The SD SA-6AL internal
slope compensation off sets 9 dB of the 12 dB slope.

SD PI-6S and SD SWM-E2
When the dish is within 100 feet of the distribution
closet, only polarity locking is required.
Model SD PI-6S powers the LNBs’ polarity locks the
internal LNB switches and blocks control signals from
SWM switches from talking to the LNBs’.
Model SD SWM-E2 is connected to the SD PI-6S with
color coded mini-jumpers model 5mJFP24.
Model MSAT-4 splitters are connected to SWM1 and
SWM2 output connectors of the SWM8.
Model BSFR0-01 band-stop fi lters prevent ALL multi-
room viewing programs from being viewed by another
apartment.
Most residential properties require more than two tuners
per apartment.
The above example can be quickly upgraded to (4)
tuners per apartment (at 75% penetration) by replacing
the SWM8 switches with SWM16 switches press-fi t into
the SD SWM-E2 expander.
Model MSAT-2 splitters are connected to SWM1 and
SWM2 output connectors of the (2) SWM16s’.
Model BSFR0-01 band-stop fi lters prevent ALL multi-
room viewing programs from being viewed by another
apartment.
