To analyze how their own reading practices change •when hand-held reading devices provide all textual content.

To get freshman students to think about what •skills and practices define civic literacy.

To get freshman students to engage in a range of •research and presentation skills that will shape their academic futures.

To engage freshman students as active and •vocal participants in shaping their technologic futures.
