The System Ourmultistageflashevaporatorconsistsof18stages,onedeaerator,one heat input section, chemical dosing system and the associated auxiliaries. Thedeaeratedwaterismixedwithpartofbrineandcirculatedthrough Heat recovery section that starts from 16th stage and ends in 1st stage. The brine from the first stage enters heat input section where the brine is heated to112Cmaximum(topbrinetemperature).Thistemperatureis manipulatedbytheamountofsteamfedtotheheatinputsection.The heated brine is flashed through the stages.Theflashedvapourpassesthrodemisterpadsandcondensedoverthe tubesinheatrecoveryandheatrejectionsection.Thedistillateproduced arecollectedinthedistillatechambersandfinallypumpedoutfrom18th stagetotreatmentplant.Ferroussulphateisusedtoprotecttheheat rejectionsectiontube.BeliteM8,ananti-foamingagentisdosedto seawatermakeuptoavoidfoaminginthesystem.BelguardEV2000,an anti-scaleagentandSodiumsulphite,anOxygenscavengeraredosedto brine pump discharge.Stage17thro18removestheremainingheatfromthesystemutilizing incomingseawater.Partoftheseawaterfromtheheatrejectionsectionis utilized for the makeup to the systemand the rest is rejected to dump pit.
