PreACT
What is the PreACT?
A standardized test taken freshman or sophomore year of high school
Subtests include: Reading, English, Science and Math
The STEM score is an average of the math and science scores only
The COMPOSITE score is an average of all of the subtests
Why take the PreACT?• The PreACT is a great way to practice
before taking the ACT (usually sophomore
or junior year).
• Students may choose to send their PreACT
scores to colleges and organizations for
scholarship consideration
• The PreACT includes a career interest
inventory that informs students of
potential careers based on their responses
What is a good score?There is no magic number but here are some
average ACT admittance scores from local
colleges:
